Rachael Nyamai is a Kenyan politician and a member of parliament representing Kitui South Constituency in Kitui County.
Nyamai joined politics in 2013 when she was elected as the Member of Parliament for Kitui South Constituency on a NARC party ticket and was re-elected in 2017 on a Jubilee Party ticket.
Nyamai was born in 1976 in Kitui County. She is a known gospel singer, having been passionate about music from a young age. She is a staunch Christian and serves as a church elder.

Rachael Kaki Nyamai began her academic journey at Kyatune Primary School, completing her Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
She proceeded to Muthale Girls High School for her secondary education, earning her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
Afterwards, she graduated with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree from Kenyatta University, studying between 1998 and 2001.
She advanced her education further at the same university, obtaining a Master of Education (M.Ed) in 2004.
Later, she earned a Ph.D. in Global Health from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, between 2006 and 2009.
She also completed a Diploma in Research Methodology at the DBL Institute of Health Research and Community Development in Denmark during that period.
Career life
Between 2003 and 2004, Rachael Nyamai worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Kenyatta University, advancing to Assistant Lecturer from 2005 to 2009.
After completing her doctorate, she lectured at Kenyatta University from 2010 to 2013 and at Southeastern Kenya University (SEKU) between 2011 and 2012.

She is also a member of the National Assembly Liaison Committee and the House Business Committee.
In 2022, Nyamai was re-elected for the third time as a member of parliament.
