Reale Hospital was founded by Dr. Erick Ruto Kipkoech, a medical doctor and entrepreneur from Uasin Gishu County, Kenya.
Dr. Ruto started his medical practice in 2009 by opening a clinic, which later evolved into the Reale Hospital group, officially established in 2013.
The current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Reale Hospital is Dr Kevin Kemboi. Meanwhile, Dr Erick Ruto, the founder of Reale Hospital, serves as the chairman and medical director of the hospital group.
Erick Ruto Kipkoech is a distinguished medical doctor, entrepreneur, and proprietor of the Reale Group of Hospitals in Kenya.
Ruto is also an active member of the Kenya Medical Association and the Kenya Association of Private Hospitals, reflecting his strong commitment to advancing healthcare services in the country.
Beyond his medical career, Dr. Erick Ruto is a prominent business leader and currently serves as the President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), advocating for commercial and industrial development.
He also chairs the Water Sector Trust Fund and serves as an advisor and board member for various organizations, including the Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation and the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB).

History of Establishment
Reale Hospital in Eldoret was established on July 15, 2013, as a KEPH Level 5 secondary care facility with 162 inpatient beds.

It began as a private health facility focused on serving the residents of Eldoret and the surrounding Western Kenya regions.
Over the years, Reale Hospital has expanded its operations from its initial facility in Elgon View Estate, along Nyerere Road, to include multiple clinics and hospitals in Eldoret CBD, Kapsabet, Kabarnet, and other towns.
The hospital developed comprehensive specialties, including inpatient and outpatient care, surgical departments, dental and eye care, ultrasound, radiology, laboratory, physiotherapy, and newborn care units.
The hospital has expanded with facilities in Eldoret, Nairobi, Baringo, Kitale, Nandi, and other locations.
