Christopher Aseka is the current Member of Parliament for Khwisero Constituency in Kakamega County.
He serves under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.
With a background in procurement and supply chain management, he transitioned into politics in 2017.
Educational Background
Aseka began his early education at Ekambuli Primary School from 1987 to 1994, where he sat for his KCPE.
He proceeded to St. Paul’s Secondary School in Narati between 1995 and 1998 and completed his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
In 2000, he joined Sigalagala Technical Training College, where he earned a diploma in Purchasing and Supplies, completing the programme in 2002.
Later in 2014, he furthered his education abroad at the University of Sunderland in the United Kingdom, graduating in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
Aseka then joined Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) for a master’s in business administration, which he pursued between 2016 and 2018.
Career Life
Christopher Aseka started his career in public service as a procurement officer at Nyeri Level 5 Hospital in 2004.
He later worked in the same capacity at Thika Level 5 Hospital in 2005 and 2006.
Furthermore, he rose through the ranks and became Head of Supply Chain Management in the Nakuru County Government, where he worked from 2007 until 2016.
In 2017, he joined active politics and was elected as the Member of Parliament for Khwisero on an Amani National Congress (ANC) ticket.
Aseka was re-elected in 2022 on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket. In Parliament, he served on the Budget and Appropriations Committee from 2017 to 2022.
Additionally, he also chaired the Member Services and Facilities Committee in 2022.
Between 2024 and 2025, Aseka facilitated the construction of classrooms, science laboratories, a dispensary, and administrative offices across the constituency.
