On Sunday, September 25, President William Ruto and the first lady hosted a Sunday service at the State House.
Religious leaders and members from different Christians denominations converged at the State House to “cleanse” the house on the hill.
The move was lauded by many people on social media who held the new President is a God loving individual who will lead the nation towards the right direction.
However, a section of Kenyans had alternative opinions.
Many insisted the President crossed the line by turning the State House into a church.
Among them was none other than former Hot 96 radio presenter Annitah Raey who shared her two cents through her Instagram page.
Taking to her page, the bubbly media personality strongly condemned Ruto’s move, holding he is now overdoing things.
According to Annitah, the relationship between God and different people is personal, therefore the President should not make it look like he is special.

Annitah Raey advised the President to open his own church and push whatever agenda he wants instead of using Statehouse.
“Am a Ruto supporter deadly but yeye na Bibi Wana overdo the whole religion thing. Our relationships with God are all personal, don’t make it look like you are special with him. State House is not a church. Open a church and push that agenda.” Annitah Raey wrote.
Annitah wrapped up by reminding Ruto to focus on ending famine in Turkana and other parts of the country instead of asking Kenyans to pray about it.
“In the meantime, people are dying in Turkana. Work on that and don’t tell us to pray about it,” She added.
Her sentiments were echoed by countless social media users who also patted her on the back for her bravery.
