Kenyan music star Bien Aime has revealed how working with Tanzanian singer and songwriter Marioo.
While speaking at an interview, he stated that Marioo’s work ethic and focus have inspired him since he became a solo artist.
“I want to thank Marioo and also state that working with him has changed my life as a solo artist. Marioo is so focused, he is serious about his money, and he has a high content turnover. His work ethic is unmatched,” stated Bien.

He went on to state that Marioo and Darassa are his best Tanzanian artists whose collaborations he loves most.
The singer’s collabo with Marioo on the song ‘Nairobi’ is currently among the top trending songs in Kenya. Bien stated that right from the start, he knew the song would be a great hit.

“I love the song Nairobi and on the day we recorded the song with Marioo, we played it over fifty times and immediately we knew we had recorded a hit song,” stated the ‘Extra Pressure’ hitmaker.
This comes after Bien emerged as the only Kenyan artist nominated for the Trace Awards 2025. He was nominated under the Best Artist-East Africa category.

The event is set to take place at the Mora Zanzibar Resort in Tanzania from February 24, 2025, to February 26, 2025. The event is meant to celebrate African music across 24 categories and will also feature a two-day creative summit.
In the lead-up to the event, there will be the Trace Awards Tour, which will visit major African cities, including Kenya. The tour will offer live performances and meet-and-greet opportunities with nominated artists.

Bien has enjoyed notable success as a solo artist after parting ways with the legendary boy band Sauti Sol. He has released hit singles including ‘Ma Cherie’, ‘Extra Pressure’, ‘I Choose You’ and ‘Inauma’ which have gained over a million streams on Spotify.
In 2024, he was ranked the most steamed Kenyan artist on Spotify. He also had four songs ranked among the top ten most streamed songs in Kenya.
