Late TikToker Brian Chira’s grandmother Esther Njeri is now charging Ksh60,000 for media interviews.
TikToker Obidan Dela revealed that Esther is now under new management hence the fee. He also stated that she requires a contract and a fee before agreeing to any interview.

Chira’s grandmother fails to show up at an interview
Obidan revealed this following her failure to show up at the Oga Obinna Show for an interview. He stated that it is the reason he did not show up with her at the interview despite being seen with her a couple of times.
This comes after Obidan was seen taking the granny to spas and shopping, making many believe that he is the manager. He however clarified that he is not her manager and he has to report to someone before engaging her.

On February 14, 2025, Obidan took Esther to a spa session as well as a manicure treat before surprising her with a special Valentine’s dinner.

Esther, better known as Cucu wa Chira on TikTok caused a stir online after she called upon Kenyans to have a sit down and build her another house. She stated that the house she was built by wellwishers was insecure and far from the main road.

“You need to sit down and decide how Cucu should live. You can find another place and build me a house. Do the best you can and check on me more often,” stated the granny.
The statement quickly became a subject of ridicule with many accusing Esther of being entitled. TikToker Baba Talisha, who helped fundraise for the house called out Esther for being greedy and ungrateful.

“I feel disappointed seeing someone who has been helped by the online family, especially on TikTok, being so greedy and ungrateful. 8.4 million was collected. Less than a year later, 7.4 million is gone. Nothing to show,” he stated.
Chira’s grandmother rose to fame following the death of controversial TikToker Brian Chira. Chira died in a hit-and-run accident in Kiambu.
After his passing, Kenyans came together to fulfil his wish of building a house for his grandmother, who was his sole guardian.
