Director Trevor, a popular figure in Kenya’s social media circles, orchestrated a move to rejuvenate his brand, Kenya Online Media following the departure of his former partner and presenter, Eve Mungai.
This decision came after a reported fallout between the two, prompting Trevor to seek a fresh direction for the platform.
In a bold initiative to redefine the brand’s image and content delivery, Trevor has unveiled Eve Nyaga, a recognizable figure from her time as a presenter on Y254 TV, to assume the role as the new face of Kenya Online Media.
In a statement on his official Instagram account on March 18, 2024, Trevor made the announcement saying, “Introducing the newest face of Kenya Online Media, our vibrant host and brand image Eve Nyaga!”
“Get ready to dive into the heart of entertainment as Eve brings you exclusive scoops and unravels the stories behind the headlines.”
He also shared captivating photos of himself alongside his new host Eve Nyaga.
New Direction for Director Trevor brand
Trevor’s announcement on social media not only unveiled Nyaga as the dynamic personality set to engage audiences with exclusive entertainment content but also hinted at a deliberate strategy to captivate viewers through compelling storytelling.

Furthermore, amidst these changes, Director Trevor has broadened the platform’s reach by launching a dedicated website aimed at becoming the premier destination for entertainment enthusiasts.

However, amid the excitement surrounding Nyaga’s debut and the platform’s growth, questions linger about the role of Rael Wangari, initially positioned to replace Eve Mungai.
Wangari’s involvement with Kenya Online Media since August 2023 adds an intriguing dimension to the unfolding narrative, leaving followers curious about her place in the platform’s evolving landscape under Trevor’s leadership.
The fallout
Director Trevor, on February 19, announced major changes amidst reports of a breakup with his longtime girlfriend, Mungai Eve.
He announced the rebranding of the ‘Mungai Eve’ YouTube channel to ‘Kenya Online Media,’ signaling the end of Mungai’s involvement on the platform.
Notably, the channel boasted over 750K subscribers and had already uploaded 2353 videos since it was founded on January 2, 2020.

“Her services are no longer needed in the following platforms, YouTube 754K subscribers, Insta Fame 104K subscribers, and Facebook 874K followers,” he said then.
Shortly after, Mungai Eve launched a new YouTube Channel named Mungai Eve Media, which has quickly amassed over 100K subscribers.
During the unveiling, she expressed that this marked the start of a “fresh chapter.”
Her debut video which featured Andrew Kibe garnered over 700K views, showcasing her determination to reclaim her place in the online entertainment sphere.
