Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua recently spoke highly of Interior Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) Millicent Omanga, commending her for playing a critical role in helping William Ruto secure the presidency.
Speaking at a thanksgiving ceremony for Education CS Ezekiel Machogu in Kisii on Friday, Gachagua noted that while it was at times challenging to get Omanga onto their campaign trucks, her contribution to their cause was immense.

Gachagua highlighted Omanga’s loyalty, stating that even though she did not win the Woman Representative seat in Nairobi, she was an enterprising person who contributed significantly to Ruto’s win. He added that Omanga tirelessly walked day and night, even when they had difficulty getting her onto their campaign trucks.

According to Gachagua, Omanga’s hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed, and she was rewarded with a prominent position in the Interior ministry. He expressed confidence that she would work effectively with Prof Kithure Kindiki in her new role.
In anticipation of the upcoming Azimio protests scheduled for Monday, Gachagua assigned Omanga the task of taking on Raila Odinga in case property destruction occurs.

Omanga has been a vocal supporter of the Deputy President and actively campaigning for him. Her efforts have not gone unnoticed, and Gachagua’s words underscore her importance to Ruto’s political aspirations.
