Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Senator Karen Nyamu were among dignitaries who graced the official launch of the ‘The Bahati’s Empire’ Reality Show set to premier on Netflix, days after Bahati and Diana trended.
Donned in a blue three-piece suit and a maroon bow tie, Gachagua was all smiles and having a good time with singer Kevin Kioko Bahati and his wife Diana Marua.
The couple honored the DP by including him in cake cutting and giving him the best front row seat, positioned right next to theirs.
Additionally, Gachagua expressed his joy to join the momentous occasion, lauding the Bahati’s, noting that it was a wonderful evening with great conversations.

“I was delighted to join artists from various genres of the industry in celebrating a milestone of one of our greatest and inspiring artists, Kevin Kioko Bahati and his wife Diana, in the grand launch of The Bahati’s Empire Reality Show on Netflix, this evening in Nairobi.
“It was a wonderful evening with great conversations with the host of great minds and thinkers who keep our Nation happy. President William Samoei Ruto and I value and have absolute confidence in the youth; they are the present and future of a prosperous Kenya,” he said.

Other Celebrities at the Bahati Event
On the other hand, Nyamu wore a crimson off-shoulder jumpsuit adorned with delicate ruffles cascading from her sleeves, as she joined in the joyous cake-cutting ceremony.
Seen cutting cake at the ceremony too was Nyamu, who was looking graceful in a red off shoulder jumpsuit with ruffles on the arms and sleeves.
At the same time, Lang’ata Member of parliament Phelix Odiwuor (Jalas) also graced the event. Clad in a dashing ensemble of a black shirt and trousers, he wore a crisp white coat and completed his look with a stylish maroon bow tie, which added a touch of flair and distinction to his ensemble.
Jalas celebrated the couple for their hard work in the entertainment industry saying they had raised the bar high in the creative industry.
“He becomes the first Kenyan to have a show on Netflix with over 200 million subscriptions across the globe,” he said.
Other celebrities at the event were Media personality Betty Kyalo, Comedian and Actress Jacky Vike, MC and Former Churchill show comedian Chipukeezy .
Also at the show was songwriter and singer Stevo Simple Boy and TV 47 radio host and TV personality Dr. Ofweneke were also spotted in the building.

Details of the Show
The reality show will be the first Kenyan reality show to premier on Netflix, featuring prominent politicians and well-known figures from the Kenyan entertainment industry.
Some of the cast members include Senator Karen Nyamu (Karenzo), Lang’ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor (Jalas), and former Nairobi Governor Gideon Mbuvi (Sonko).
In addition, the entertainment industry was well-represented by award-winning actress Jackie Matubia, Peter Kabi, Millicent Wambui (Wa Jesus family), Linet Munyali (Size 8), Samuel Muraya (DJ Moh), and Lawrence Macharia (Terrence Creative).
Moreover, the Bahatis revealed that the show will depict a wide range of experiences, including the good, the bad, the ugly, the joyful, the sorrowful, and the dramatic moments of the couple’s life behind closed doors.
