Kenyan Chef Maliha Mohammed has a new Guinness World record after cooking for 68 hours, 30 minutes and 2 seconds in a home kitchen.
The self-taught Chef who targets 90 hours, spent 3 days displaying her culinary skills, surpassing the Guinness World Record for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon.

If certified by the Guinness World Record, she will be dethroning American Rickey Lumpkin of California, who cooked for 68hours, 30 minutes and 1 second in December 2018.
Celebrities Oga Obinna and Crazy Kennar showed up to cheer her on her victory.

Furthermore, Kenyans came rallied behind the celebrated chef, showering her with messages of love.
“When Hida Baci was doing her challenge, big musicians like Tiwa Savage, President elect of Nigeria showed up, but for Hilda on three people are to support her. I wish we can have support for her it’s a World record…” a lady in a viral video said.

Chef Maliha Mohammed Previous Attempt
In 2019, Maliha Mohammed, came to the limelight after cooking for 75 hours non-stop for the title of Longest Cooking Marathon, shattering the Guinness World Record after preparing 400 dishes just under three days.
In the competition, she prepared versions of Swahili dishes and other local cuisines including mandazi, chapati, biryani, githeri, fried fish, mukimo and juices, among others.
Maliha, who is a Jaffery Academy alumnus, is popular for her signature dish, Korean chicken Bulgogi.

Chef Maliha thanked all Kenyans for their support and their contributions to making the session a success.
“Thank you so much Nairobi Gossip for been there for me. All my funs amd fellow Kenyans, those who contributed, prayed for this, shoed any support may God bless you all,” Chef Maliha wrote after the cooking marathon.
Furthermore, she revealed that after the Guinness World Record confirms her milestone she will go for the title of individual longest cooking marathon, which is currently held by Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci after she cooked for 93 hours non-stop.
