He likens the current political climate to the betrayal of Jesus by Judas Iscariot and the treachery of Delilah towards Samson.
Githae also references the story of Joseph, whose brothers betrayed him by selling him into slavery.

The song comes in the wake of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s impeachment motion, which saw a majority of Mt. Kenya Members of Parliament, including his home MP, voting in favor of the motion to send him packing.
Kenyans humorously reacted to his video on YouTube, noting its relevance to current events in the country.
“Right on time, bazuu. God have mercy on us watu wa murima,” commented John Migwi.
Another user said, “Mimi naona watu wa mlima wasaliti tukianzia kimanongo. Loosely translated to I see the people of Mt Kenya are betrayers starting from Kimanongo.”
Bernard Kariuki added, “I knew this was coming; eat with a spoon, Githae.”
One more user remarked, “All members of parliament must hear this good song.”
The veteran singer became a household name in 2017 after recording the massive hit ‘Tano Tena’ song and subsequently, the sequel ‘Wembe Ni Ule Ule’.

Uhuru Ruto and KJenya Is Safe Songs
His song “Uhuru Ruto,” praised former President Uhuru Kenyatta and his then deputy President William Ruto, focusing on their development record and touching on various projects, including the Standard Gauge Railway, road construction, and free maternity services.
Upon its release, Githae faced significant backlash from the public, with many criticizing him for taking a political stance.
Some Kenyans accused him of selling his soul and prioritizing money over his gospel values.
To compound the situation, several churches labeled Githae a divisive figure, arguing that his song did not reflect the institution’s values.
In 2022, Githae released another political song titled “Kenya is Safe,” where he congratulated Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga after he announced Martha Karua as his running mate.
In this song, Githae praised Odinga, urging Kenyans to vote for him, asserting that the country would be safe in his hands. He referred to the duo as “RaoKa,” highlighting Raila and Karua as the winning combination.
