The wife to former popular trio group “The Kansoul” member, George Mugai alias Madtraxx, has broken silence over alleged physical abuse in her marriage.
Madtraxx’s wife Salma Hussein, in a statement on Friday June 7, made the revelation while adding that she has been living in fear.
“My whole life, I’ve been living with fear not once, this dude has been beating me!! Anxiety, fear and trauma!!” the statement read.
The mother of two indicated that she had been suffering in silence for ten years while noting the adverse effects it has had on her.
“Never have I thought I’ll be beaten in my life …My whole life I’m battling anxiety fear and trauma!! Just because of this guy!!” she added.
Salma attached photos including an image of a 2021 police O.B and doctor’s report detailing her injuries.
In the shared images, Salma appeared bruised on one of her eyes sustaining a black eye.
Additionally, some photos displayed pink and dark bruises on her arms.
Details of The Police O.B and Doctor’s Report
According to a police report seen by The Kenya Times, Salma reported the incident on October 10, 2021.
A photo of the doctor’s report shared online by Salma, showed that she was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol in the 2021 assault incident.

Additionally, the report detailed the extent of her injuries on various parts of her body including her head, eyes, arms and legs.
Madtraxx Marriage and Career
Madtraxx and Salma officially got married in a lavish wedding attended by friends and family members in 2018.
Prior to their wedding, the couple had dated for over several years before they officially got married.
Madtraxx is known for his top-charting hits including “Get down” and “Skamaress” which he produced while on his solo career.
He later joined Mejja and Kid Kora to form a trio band known as The Kansoul in 2014, which rocked the Kenyan airwaves dropping their first hit “Dabo Tap” later that year.
The song went on and earned them invites in various top shows and tours in United Kingdom (UK), United States (US) and across Africa.

The Kansoul went ahead to produce other songs before disbanding the group citing indifferences.
Gender Based Violence (GBV) Cases
According to the Centre for Rights Education and Awareness (CREAW-Kenya), over 3,762 cases of Gender-Based Violence were reported in 2022.
Out of those cases, 2,985 cases of GBV were by women while 777 cases were by men.
In addition, WHO estimates that about 1 in 3 (30%) of women globally have been subjected to either physical and/or sexual intimate partner violence or non-partner sexual violence in their lifetime.
