Traffic disruptions are expected in parts of Nairobi on Saturday, March 14, 2026, following the planned partial closure of a section of Langata Road.
In a public notice on March 12, a section of Langata Road is set to be closed, specifically between Carnivore Grounds and Madaraka Roundabout, which will be closed on one side from 7:15 a.m.
“Langata Road from Carnivore Grounds to Madaraka Roundabout will be partially closed from 7:15 a.m. (on one side), the notice read in part.
The road closure is linked to the Run for the Bibleless 2026 event, which will feature a 10-kilometre run and a 5-kilometre walk along designated routes in the affected areas.
Roads to Experience Traffic Following Langata Road Closure
According to the issued notice, authorities indicated that traffic flow will also be affected along Mai Mahiu Road, Muhoho Avenue, Kiganjo Avenue, and a section of Mombasa Road near the South C Flyover due to the expected diversion and increased vehicle movement.
“Traffic will be affected on Mai Mahiu Road, Muhoho Avenue, Kiganjo Avenue, and part of Mombasa Road from the South C Flyover,” the notice listed.

It further advised motorists seeking to access Langata Road from Mombasa Road to use the Southern Bypass via the exit near Ole Sereni Hotel to avoid delays.
“Motorists who wish to access Langata Road from Mombasa Road are requested to use the Southern By-Pass using the exit at Ole Sereni Hotel,” it read.
About Run for the Bibleless 2026 Edition
The Run for the Bibleless 2026 is a public charity event scheduled for March 14, 2026, in Nairobi.
It marks the 19th edition of the run in the capital city.
The 2026 edition will also be held simultaneously in Nakuru and Eldoret, marking the fifth edition in Nakuru and the sixth edition in Eldoret.

“We are excited to bring to you the 19th edition of the Run for the Bibleless 2026 in Nairobi, the 5th edition in Nakuru and the 6th edition in Eldoret on Saturday, 14th March 2026 at 7:30 a.m,” the charity group earlier announced in a statement.
Additional editions are planned later in the year, with the event scheduled for July 11, 2026, in Mombasa (hosting its fifth edition) and Machakos (hosting its second edition).
The event brings together participants for a road run and walk aimed at raising awareness and support for communities that do not yet have access to translated Bible materials.
