Inspired by the recent youth-led protests in Kenya, Ugandan citizens are mobilizing mass action under the banner of #OccupyUganda to take a stand against rampant corruption.
This movement has gained momentum with strong support from Kenya’s youth identifying themselves as the Generation Z, who recently took to the streets to demand accountability and reject the Finance Bill 2024.
A call to action has been circulating widely on social media, urging Ugandan citizens to participate in a massive demonstration planned for Tuesday, July 23.
“MARCH 2 PARLIAMENT,” the poster declares.
