Le’ Mac is a 24-storey commercial and residential building in the Westlands district of Nairobi, Kenya.

Le’ Mac is owned by Mark Properties, a property developer in Nairobi.

In a past interview, Ravi Vasta, managing director of Mark Properties, revealed that the Dubai-styled project cost an estimated US$41.5 million upon completion in 2015.

Vasta said the increase in expatriates and diplomats in Nairobi led to a spurring demand for unique real estate projects

Vasta also said he had an ambition to develop the tallest building in the entire East Africa.

We wanted something new for Kenya and unique. We started Mark Properties in 2004, and since then, we have developed two luxury properties in Lavington (a high-income residential suburb in Nairobi). For the Le’ Mac project, we specifically wanted something unique that would attract investors. We took our team of consultants to Dubai, where there are a lot of such projects, after which they designed Le’ Mac.

Facilities Available at Le’ Mac

Le’mac Towers is a mixed-use development in the Westlands, Nairobi, off Waiyaki Way.

It targets wealthy buyers and renters seeking housing in exclusive suburbs.

The building, which officially opened in 2019, offers offices on the 1st to 6th floors and high-end one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments on the 8th to 22nd floors.

The double-storey Le’Mac Sky Club on the roof features a gym, spa, steam and sauna rooms, lounges, a swimming pool, and a rooftop restaurant.

Le’ Mac’s ground floor hosts the Le’Mac Café and a banking hall.

Rising 126 metres, Le’Mac Towers currently stands as Kenya’s tallest residential building.

Transparent Glass Floor Skywalk

One of the unique features of Le’ Mac Towers is a transparent glass floor skywalk located on the 24th floor.

The skywalk offers a stunning view of cars moving over 100 metres below your feet.

It is a 60mm-thick, see-through glass floor that stands out around the tower.

Vasta said it is meant to beat the fear of heights.

The walkway is the first of its kind in East Africa.

“You no longer have to travel to spend a fortune to walk on a terrifying glass floor or bridge, as it is right here in Nairobi,” Vasta said.

Designers

Sylvia Mueni, the owner of Sycum Solutions Company, designed Le’Mac Towers.

Susan Watts of Image360 Degrees, a firm celebrated for its innovative designs, created the building’s interiors.

“Le’Mac is a statement of impeccable architecture with immense attention to detail and a fine blend of the spaces to allow functional flows while ensuring utmost privacy,” Mark Properties said on its website.

Haha, Le Mac – Kenya’s answer to a Dubai skyline dream! $41.5 million for tallest building in East Africa? Expats and diplomats craving unique real estate, indeed! Though I wonder how often that stunning 60mm-thick glass floor skywalk gets actual use beyond brave marketing shots. You no longer have to travel to spend a fortune to walk on a terrifying glass floor… Oh, Mark Properties, pulling numbers out of thin air just like the governments Treasury Bonds! Ksh 50K investment minimum, ha! ???? Cheers to Kenyan ambition, even if our feet might prefer the solid ground of reality!Free Nano Banana

Haha, Le Mac sounds like Nairobis answer to a Dubai-themed episode of House Hunters – Buy this skywalk or live in fear! $41.5 million for height? Kenyans always aiming high, even if its just for a transparent glass floor to look down on the traffic. Good one, Edwin! Now, wheres the skit about the guy who slips on the glass floor and sues Le Mac? The perfect Kenyan comedy set! ????????football bros
