A CCTV footage has circulated online showing moments before Social Media Personality and a Gen Z protestor Shadrack Kiprono alias Shad Khalif was allegedly abducted by unknown people.
The footage, dated Sunday, June 23, 2024, depicts Shad Khalif donned in a white jacket, and jeans walking out of an establishment at around 8:21pm in South B area.
Moments later he can be seen moving towards a parked car before he takes a step back only to face three individuals who hold and force him inside a white Toyota Prado with No. Plate KCZ 846 A.

The CCTV then captures the three men getting into the vehicle which immediately speeds off and is followed by another black double-cab pickup with No. Plate KCY 417 H.
Kiprono has been vocal and at the forefront in protesting against the Finance Bill 2024 which he terms as punitive.

He was one of the planners of the successful #Occupy Parliament Protests on June 18.
Kiprono came into the limelight on Monday June 17 when he was seen distributing placards and flyers in the streets of Nairobi to aid in the anti-finance bill protests.
In a street interview with the press, Shad invited all Kenyans to show up for the demonstrations adding that he is not an activist, but the government had forced him to walk in the streets and urge people to come out and fight for their rights.
Shad Khalif Protesting Finance Bill 2024
Shad noted that he is a finance professional who is ready to fight against the introduction of taxes in the Finance Bill to frustrate the common Mwananchi.
On June 19 during an interview with Citizen TV Shadrack asked Embakasi MP Babu Owino for Ksh 500,000 to support the #Occupy parliament demonstrations.
He would later read a message directed to President William Ruto stating that the youth will only stop protesting when he categorically drops his “demonic Bill”.

“Mr. President, this is a message from the young generation. We know you are very eloquent, and we have had your sweet tongue for the last many years, and we are tired of listening to your lies,” he read.
“On the matter of sustainability of the demonstrations for as long as the finance Bill in its current form continues to be debatable, we the youth of this country do not need financial assistance to show up to make noise to use tools and resources close to us displeasure and dissatisfaction.”
He added that the youth are going to make Ruto the first and only one term president of the Republic of Kenya and urged him to be ready to be sent home in 2027.
