Christ Is the Answer Ministries (CITAM), formerly Nairobi Pentecostal Church (NPC), on Sunday dedicated a new, multimillion-shilling sanctuary at its Buruburu Assembly in Nairobi.
The unveiling of the state-of-the-art facility took place on May 25, 2025, marking a major milestone for the church’s expansion plans.
The initiative, launched in April 2024, sought to raise Ksh2.5 billion over two years to facilitate the purchase of land and construction of permanent sanctuaries for 24 CITAM assemblies across the country.
“Help us raise Ksh. 2.5 billion in two years to settle 24 assemblies by purchasing parcels of land and constructing permanent sanctuaries,” CITAM urged on its official website during the campaign launch.
CITAM Buruburu Sanctuary
The Buruburu sanctuary is among the first projects to be completed under the initiative, showing the church’s commitment to enhancing spiritual infrastructure for its growing congregation.
Backed by strong financial performance in recent years, CITAM has continued to invest in ministry expansion and outreach.

According to its 2023 financial report, the church recorded a total income of Ksh3.28 billion — a 13% increase from 2022’s Ksh. 2.89 billion.
This included Ksh2.31 billion from assemblies’ income, Ksh782 million from projects, and Ksh182 million from outreach ministries.
The church attributed the rise in income to a post-COVID economic recovery and the full resumption of church operations. Assemblies’ income alone surged by 23% from the previous year.
The dedication ceremony at CITAM Buruburu drew hundreds of congregants and church leaders, celebrating not only the physical structure but also a renewed spiritual commitment to the community.
“18 Years of God’s Faithfulness. A New Sanctuary. One Big Celebration!” CITAM posted.
The Buruburu project sets the pace for similar developments expected in the coming months as the church continues to mobilize resources for its long-term growth and ministry goals.

The Presiding Bishop also chairs the ADC and the RAGMs and supervises CITAM’s administration, including ministry operations and business unit management through the Director for Administration (DFA).
Rev. Dr. David Oginde, the current chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), is the former Presiding Bishop of Christ Is the Answer Ministries (CITAM).
Bishop Oginde handed over the ministry’s leadership baton to the current Presiding Bishop, Rev. Calisto Odede, in 2020.
