The three South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) male students died on the spot following the road accident which happened in Kwa Vonza, Kitui County on Friday night last week.
Preliminary reports indicate that the trio was riding on a motorcycle from Kwa Vonza market to their residence within SEKU when they crashed into the back of the sand truck along the Kwa Vonza – Kitui Road.
The stalled truck had been parked by the roadside due to a mechanical failure, according to eyewitnesses.
