Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has criticized the church for failing to call out individuals selling marijuana and other forms drugs.
The deputy president`s spouse noted that the clergy does not speak out or condemn the sale of these drugs because they fear their churches would be closed down.
As such, Pastor Dorcas urged members of the church to publicly condemn drug dealing as per the doctrines of the church to save the younger generation.
While speaking at a clergy forum in Kiambaa Sub-County, the second lady highlighted the language used to refer to youth who abuse drugs.
She said the community needs to stop addressing the victims of drug abuse as drug addicts and instead call them ‘our children’.
“The church should be at the forefront in pointing out bad things that are happening. God has watched many times as people continue selling poison, and the church watches and keeps quiet, and the administration also keeps quiet,” she said.
