East African Breweries Plc (EABL) has announced leadership changes within its executive team.
In a statement dated July 3, 2025, the company said the changes are aimed at enhancing talent development and strengthening strategic leadership across its operations.
“East African Breweries Plc (EABL) has announced significant leadership changes within its executive team, a move anchored on EABL’s continued commitment to talent development and strategic leadership across its operations,” read part of the statement.
According to the statement, three changes have been made within the executive team.
EABL Announces Leadership Changes
Among those affected is Mark Ocitti, who will step down as Managing Director of Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL), a subsidiary of EABL, effective September 30, 2025.
The company praised Ocitti for his leadership since joining in August 2014, noting his contribution to business growth and transformation across different regions and markets. He was particularly credited with steering KBL through a period of significant expansion and development.
Succeeding Ocitti as KBL’s Managing Director will be Andrew Kilonzo, who previously served as Managing Director of Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL). EABL said Kilonzo brings a wealth of experience and a proven record of success, positioning him well to lead KBL into its next phase of growth.

Elsewhere, Yvonne Mwangi, currently Managing Director for Seychelles and the Indian Ocean, will return to EABL as Commercial Director, Kenya, effective October 1, 2025. Mwangi brings over 15 years of experience in commercial strategy and marketing.
EABL described her return as a major boost to its commercial capabilities in its largest market.
