Abdi Mohammed, is mourning the tragic loss of his wife and daughter who were brutally murdered together with a 12-year-old niece in Eastleigh.
Speaking on Monday, November 4, Mohammed narrated the painful experience he is having, coming to terms with the huge loss.
Overwhelmed with grief, he recounted the last conversation he had with his wife on the fateful night, saying that it was through a WhatsApp voice recording.
“It was the night that she disappeared around 7: 00 pm. We spoke through a WhatsApp voice recording, and she told me that she was going to see a dermatologist for some skin itchiness. “
“For my daughter, I had not spoken to her for a few days so I do not remember that,” he said.

Mohammed Demands Justice for the Murders
Further, he expressed the agony of losing his family, asking for justice for the murder of Waris Dahabo Daud Said, 38, Amina Abdirashid Dahir, 22 and Nusayba Abdi Mohammed, 12.
“It is very devastating. That was my firstborn and my wife and this has been very difficult. I am getting emotional and I don’t want to talk about it, but may Allah give us peace during this time. We are hoping for justice. “
However, he expressed his gratitude to the law enforcement officers and family members who aided in the investigations that led to the arrest of the main suspect.
“I want to thank the family member who helped us capture this killer and the detectives who worked night and day to capture this killer. This is an ongoing investigation and we ask that you pray for the victims, so that Allah makes it easy for them, he added.
On October 21, the three women went missing before their mutilated bodies with stab wounds were discovered on October 22, 2024, at around 6 am at different locations.

Man Arrested Over the Eastleigh Murders
On Sunday, November 3, a man believed to be behind the brutal murders was arrested in Eastleigh, Nairobi, with detectives revealing that he had illegally obtained a Kenyan identification card.
He had also served as a regional police officer in Ethiopia before he was arrested and jailed over claims of murder of his wife.
However, he later fled to Kenya and started a taxi business in Eastleigh and Parklands. Police believe he knew the slain women and has been involved in the extortion business in the city in the past.
“Detectives have successfully apprehended Hashim Dagane Muhumed today after an extensive investigation into the tragic murders of a mother, her daughter, and her 12-year-old niece.
“The horrifying crime prompted a determined manhunt for the suspect. Muhumed is currently in police custody, where he is undergoing processing ahead of his arraignment scheduled for tomorrow at the Makadara Chief Magistrates Court.”
