Patience Nyange, the Executive Director of The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) was Friday, August 18 feted as the most digitally fit CEO.
The awards seek to recognize and reward companies, brands, businesses, and individuals who have an online presence and are creating an impact online through their website, social media presence and online visibility.
The Award under the Person of the Year category is held every August.

Patience emerged top CEO in her category while attributing the fete to AMWIK and all inspiring women that are making a difference in their respective fields.
”I am really grateful to have received the prestigious award as a Top Digitally Fit CEO- Icons Creating Impact Online,’ said Patience.
Patience Nyange, a media, communications, and advocacy specialist with more than 18 years of experience was also a gubernatorial candidate in 2022 general election in Taita Taveta county.
”Thank you for believing in me and showing your support! This award is also a proud tribute to AMWIK and all inspiring women out there who are making a difference in their respective fields,” she added.

Patience Nyange career
Patience Nyange has had an industrious career working in various fields. She interned at Baraka FM in Mombasa before the company absorbed her.
Three years later she moved to KBC Radio Taifa where she worked as presenter and a producer before leaving for Norway courtesy of AMWIK.
From 2012 to 2014, she was with Media Action, the charitable arm of the British Broadcasting Corporation – BBC as a mentor.
She later served as Communications Advisor to the Cabinet Secretary (CS), Ministry of Devolution and Planning. from 2013 to 2016.
Patience has also worked with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights – KNCHR as an Assistant Director between 2016 and 2020.
In 2019, she left for The United Kingdom and returned to Kenya in mid 2021.
She holds a master’s in international public relations and Global Communication Management from Cardiff University in the UK.
In addition, Patience Nyange has another master’s in diplomacy and international Studies from the University of Nairobi and a bachelor’s degree in communications and Electronic Media from Daystar University.
