Silas Jakakimba, the former personal assistant to Raila Odinga, and Florence Adhiambo have announced their separation after three years of marriage.
In a joint statement shared on social media on July 17, the couple stated that the decision to part ways was reached mutually, following careful consideration and much reflection.
“After careful consideration and much reflection, we – Silas Jakakimba and Florence Adhiambo, have made the difficult but in certain and often times – extremely considerate decision to separate,” read the statement.

The couple noted that their decision was made with mutual respect and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from their families and spiritual mentors throughout the process.
“This decision was reached mutually and, with respect for one another, noting with deep appreciation and gratitude, the immense love and support from both sides of our Innermost Families and Spiritual Leaders as we sought to make this decision public,” read the statement.
They also affirmed their commitment to safeguarding their family’s privacy and well-being during this transition, making it clear that they would not be issuing any further public comments on the matter.

Silas Jakakimba’s Luxurious Wedding
The couple exchanged vows in a lavish wedding ceremony held at Safari Park in October 2021.
Florence Nyombo, dressed in a stunning white gown, made a dramatic entrance to the garden venue aboard a helicopter, while Silas Jakakimba donned a classic black suit.
The glamorous affair was attended by notable guests, including lawyer Donald Kipkorir and his wife.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds took a celebratory chopper ride around the venue, greeted by cheers from their guests.

Vacation in Rwanda
After the wedding, the lawyer and his wife, Florence, went on vacation in Rwanda.
The couple shared their happy moments, and they said they had visited the Kigali Memorial Centre.
A few days after their wedding, Jakakimba and Florence received an invitation to a special Mashujaa Day luncheon hosted by Former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
However, the couple was unable to attend as they had already left the country for their honeymoon.
In a social media post, Jakakimba expressed gratitude for the gesture, noting that they looked forward to dining with the Former President later.
“Thank you for the Garden Party Luncheon invite to Florence and I. We’ll miss it because we are away, but we rest assured that we’ll soon have lunch with you at The House on The Hill,” Jakakimba wrote in a social media post.
