Kenyan actor Lenana Kariba has reached a major career milestone with his international debut in Netflix’s globally acclaimed period drama Bridgerton.
Kariba shared the news on January 30, 2026, confirming that he appears in part one of Season 4 and promising a more prominent role in part two.
Bridgerton‘s Season 4’s first four episodes, in which he portrays a Royal Footman, premiered on January 29, 2026, with the second half set for February 26, 2026.
Describing the experience, the actor called the opportunity “epic,” citing the scale, professionalism, and unique environment of working on a major global Netflix production. Filming took place in the United Kingdom, where Kariba now resides with his wife and daughter.
“I’m in Bridgerton. So happy to finally be able to say those words after a year of having to stay quiet. The first role I took in the UK was an epic one and I’ve had the amazing opportunity to be surrounded by some of the best! Re-watch Sn4 part 1 to see me in the background but be prepared for more in part 2.”

Born in Kiambu County, Kariba is the youngest of three siblings, including musicians Bamzigi and Kora. He attended St. Christopher’s High School in Nairobi, where he joined the drama club, and later earned a degree in Electronic Media and Marketing from Daystar University.

The actor initially aimed to work behind the camera as a cinematographer but transitioned to acting after landing his first role in the teen drama Changing Times (2010), followed by Saints (2011).
He has since built a strong and varied portfolio across East African television and film, establishing himself as one of the region’s most recognizable screen actors. His television work includes standout roles in popular series such as Single Kiasi, Selina, Crime and Justice, and the long-running sitcom Auntie Boss.
In film, Kariba has appeared in several notable productions. He starred as Ethan in the award-winning romantic comedy Plan B (2019).
The actor also played Johnathan in Family Vacation (2024), acting alongside Sarah Hassan, Jackie Matubia, and Joyce Maina. One of his earlier film credits includes House of Lungula (2013).
His international screen credits include a minor role in Netflix’s sci-fi series Sense8 and his most recent appearance as a Royal Footman in Bridgerton Season 4 (2026).
Beyond acting, Kariba is also known for his influence in fashion. In 2022, he was named Pulse Male Fashion Influencer of the Year.
In recent years, Kariba has further expanded his Netflix résumé. Family Vacation (2024) explores the strain on a marriage hidden behind a carefully curated social media image.
