Machakos County has a total of 687,565 registered voters, according to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The county, located in Kenya’s Eastern region, is divided into eight constituencies, each represented by a Member of Parliament in the National Assembly.
Mavoko constituency leads in voter registration with 132,163 registered voters, followed by Machakos Town with 117,367. Mwala and Yatta constituencies also report significant voter numbers, at 89,898 and 82,397, respectively.
Matungulu has 75,841 registered voters, while Masinga accounts for 68,879. Kathiani and Kangundo round out the list with 60,224 and 60,796 registered voters, respectively.

MPs per Constitution in Machakos County
The county is represented by eight MPs, each playing a vital role in national policymaking and representing the voices of their constituents in Parliament.

As of 2025, the representatives are Joshua Mbithi Mutua (Independent) for Masinga, Robert Ngui Basil (Wiper Democratic Movement–Kenya) for Yatta, and Fabian Kyule Muli (Grand Dream Development Party) for Kangundo.
Stephen Mutinda Mule (Wiper Democratic Movement–Kenya) serves Matungulu, Robert Mbui (Wiper Democratic Movement–Kenya) represents Kathiani, and Patrick Makau King’ola (Wiper Democratic Movement–Kenya) serves Mavoko.
Caleb Mutiso Mule (Maendeleo Chap Chap) represents Machakos Town, while Vincent Musyoka Musau (United Democratic Alliance) holds the seat for Mwala.
