The government has announced 150 nursing and midwifery jobs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) for degree, diploma, and certificate holders.
In a statement on July 11, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection noted that the positions available are only open for females.
“This initiative has facilitated employment of thousands of Kenyans in various economic sectors in the KSA which has expressed willingness to recruit additional Female health care workers from Kenya,” reads the statement in parts.
Further, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection mentioned that the continued collaboration between Kenya and Saudi Arabia aims to improve safe labor migration and create opportunities for Kenyan workers.
In addition, the ministry invited qualified Kenyans to express their interest in working in Saudi Arabia as nursing and midwifery professionals, specifically in nursing and medical, surgical, adult ICU, PICU, NICU, and midwifery fields.

“The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection requests for Expression of interests from qualified Kenyans for employment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) as Nursing and Midwifery professionals notably Nursing and Medical, surgical, adult ICU, PICU, NICU and Midwifery,” reads part of the statement.

The application period commenced on 8th July 2024 and closes on 9th September 2024, with a contract period spanning two years.
Minimum Qualifications for Saudi Arabia Jobs
Candidates with the following qualifications are advised to apply for the nursing and midwifery positions:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing Science
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (including With IT option)
Certificate in Community Health Nursing
Certificate in Enrolled Community Nursing
Diploma in Kenya Registered Nurse/Midwifery (KRN/M)
Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing
Diploma in Nursing (General Nursing)
Further, applicants are advised not to pay any fee to be appointed to the advertised job opportunities.
Additionally, successful candidates will receive a round-trip air ticket as part of their employment package, and they will be compensated for overtime work in compliance with Saudi Arabia Labour Laws.

The salary ranges vary based on the qualifications of the applicants, degree holders are offered a minimum salary of 3,500 SAR per month, diploma holders are eligible for a minimum 3,000 SAR per month, and certificate holders can expect a minimum of 2,200 SAR per month.
