Ruto Launches the Construction of the Affordable Housing Units in Bahati
In February 2023, President William Ruto inspected the construction of the Bondeni affordable housing project, that has been established under a public-private partnership agreement.
Construction of the project began in May 2021, after King Sapphire Developers, a subsidiary of Royal Group Industries, pumped Ksh2 billion into the project.
According to the agreement, the private investor provided funding while the government provided a 7.5-acre piece of land that had been occupied by municipal houses.
