The Private Security Regulatory Authority (PSRA) has published a list of all the private security companies that are officially registered, along with their PSRA registration numbers.
In a statement seen by The Kenya Times, PSRA confirmed that a total of 799 companies are registered as authorized by security providers.
Further, security companies can conveniently check their registration status by accessing the PDF document containing the list of licensed security companies on the official PSRA website to find the downloadable PDF document.
In addition, this updated information aims to ensure transparency and compliance within the private security industry, allowing both companies and clients to access accurate and verified details about the licensed security providers in the sector.
List of Registered companies
Among the compliant companies listed by the PSRA are Patforce Security Limited with the code PSRA/PSL/19/GV, Progressive Discounts Guards Ltd with the code PSRA/PDGL/19/ZA, and Gaba Logistics Group Ltd with the codes PSRA/GLGL/19/99 and PSRA/MIS/19/76.

Others include Haman Security Limited (PSRA/HSL/19/JG), Intercity Surveillance Services Limited (PSRA/ISSL/19/47), and Mlinziapp Company Limited (PSRA/MCL/19/P2).
Additionally, Glosec Systems Limited (PSRA/GSL/19/15) and Glosec Solutions Limited (PSRA/GSL/19/2/) have also met the registration requirements set by the PSRA. Central Vigilance Security (CVS Services Limited) (PSRA/CVSSL/19/GA), Pinkerton’s Kenya Limited (PSRA/PKL/19/02), and Radium Security Limited (PSRA/RSL/19/74) were also listed among the registered private security companies recognized for their compliance with the PSRA regulations.
Furthermore, the list of compliant companies extends to Guardeum Security Services Limited (PSRA/GSSL/19/XK), Dalik Security Services Limited (PSRA/DSSL/19/52), and Crimetec Security Limited (PSRA/CSL/19/7R). Additionally, Belfast Security Limited (PSRA/BSL/19/31) and Leenda Priority SG Limited (PSRA/LPSL/19/EL) were also acknowledged for their compliance with PSRA regulations.
PSRA Issues a Crackdown on Security Companies
On Wednesday, May 29, PSRA ordered countrywide operation to target unregistered security guards and companies, aimed at identifying and removing unqualified security guards and investigate employers hiring unqualified individuals.
Further, PSRA CEO, Fazul Mahamed, emphasized the importance of a Guard Force Number (GFN) as proof of a private security officer’s proper training, registration, and licensing under the Private Security Regulation Act.

Notably, Fazul Mahamed warned that operating without a GFN is a punishable offense under the Act.
Additionally, PSRA had announced a door-to-door crackdown on private security companies, which was to commence on Monday, April 22. In a statement released on April 19, the Authority confirmed that their enforcement and compliance team had visited two security companies for compliance checks following their directive.
