Israeli investor Erez Rivkin owns a 520-acre master-planned project in Solai, Nakuru County, offering a unique blend of residential and holiday homes, as well as commercial farming opportunities.
The project integrates modern amenities with a fully operational agricultural setup, providing investors and homeowners with the chance to live, farm, and access export markets.
In an interview with media personality Alex Chamwada, Erez Rivkin highlighted the farm’s diverse crops, including rosemary, which is exported to markets in the UK, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, and Dubai.
“This rosemary, first, is proof that it’s improving memory. Second, it’s a very easy crop to grow. And third, we have a huge market for it,” Erez Rivkin said.
The farm also hosts over 22 other crops cultivated in greenhouses, supported by packhouses and irrigation infrastructure, ensuring a seamless value chain from production to export.
Erez Rivkin Residential and Agricultural Investment
The Solai project allows buyers to acquire parcels of land for personal homes or holiday retreats while participating in commercial farming.
All facilities, including water supply, packhouses, and farm infrastructure, are fully developed, providing a turnkey solution for investors.
“You can come invest here, buy a parcel of land where you can do a holiday home or your own home, and at the same time, you’re doing farming,” Erez Rivkin explained.
Residents can plug into the established export market, making the venture both a lifestyle and income-generating opportunity.
During the interview, Rivkin emphasised the appeal of rosemary, noting its easy cultivation, memory-enhancing properties, and high international demand.

“Whatever we grow, we can sell. Export is done, packhouse is done, water is here,” he added, highlighting the readiness of the infrastructure.
The project is designed to merge lifestyle with agriculture, giving homeowners a chance to enjoy modern living while engaging in farming activities that contribute to Kenya’s export sector.
Rivkin has been operating in Kenya for over 15 years and described the country as a long-term investment destination. “Kenya is a dream for me,” he said, underscoring his commitment to the country.

The alliance is geared towards promoting trade and investment opportunities as the devolved unit eyes increased agricultural exports.
Speaking after deliberations with a delegation from Israel, Deputy Governor Dr David Kones said the collaboration between the County Government of Nakuru and Israel was aimed at boosting water technology, agriculture, and health, among other sectors.
The Israeli delegation was led by Israeli Ambassador to Kenya, Mr Gideon Behar.
“Our relationship with Israel envisions the establishment of a Nakuru-Israel AgriTech Demonstration and Training Farm that would serve as a learning hub for local farmers, professional Exchange Programs that would provide opportunities for Nakuru experts to train in Israel and partnerships to enhance water harvesting, purification, and efficient irrigation, specifically targeting the county’s arid and semi-arid lands (ASALs),” stated the Deputy Governor.
