King Kalala has carved a name for herself as one of Kenya’s most outspoken media personalities.
An urban radio presenter, content creator, digital marketer, corporate emcee, and voice-over artist, Kalala is celebrated for her fearless personality, confidence, and trademark hoarse voice that continues to captivate a loyal following across multiple platforms.
Born in 1998 and raised in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, Kenya. Her high school friend gave her the name “Kalala” because she liked sleeping.
Kalala is the lastborn in a family of two, alongside her elder brother. From an early age, her boldness and outspoken nature distinguished her, traits that would later define her brand and career.
Education
She began her education at Eldo Baraka School in Kapsoya, where she completed her elementary studies in 2011.
She later joined Kipsigis Girls’ High School in Kericho for her secondary education.
Kalala would later enroll at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), where she pursued a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing.
However, she dropped out in her fourth year, second semester, to pursue other opportunities.

Kalala’s Career Journey
Kalala’s career took off while she was still a student at JKUAT. She began creating content by posting short videos where she offered blunt opinions about movies and celebrities.
As her audience grew, she transitioned to addressing real-life issues with her characteristic boldness, earning her a large online following.
Her growing influence soon caught the attention of mainstream media.
She joined NRG Radio, a leading youth-focused station, where she worked as a radio presenter.
At NRG, she hosted engaging shows like NRG Transit Queens, solidifying her reputation as a strong, unapologetic voice.
After working at the station for almost three years, she announced her exit in 2024, citing her desire to explore new opportunities beyond radio.
Kalala has also made her mark in the music scene, appearing in tracks such as “Hungover – Kanairo” with Motif and “Iwake” with Samaritan, Parroty, and Dezian.
Her versatility as a creative is further showcased in her work as a corporate MC and voice-over artist, where her unique delivery style continues to set her apart.

Beyond radio and music, Kalala has ventured into the podcasting world. She was a co-host of the 97s Podcast alongside Frank, Dante, and Trevor before parting ways.
Currently, she features on the 3 Truths No Lie Podcast with Frankie and Christine, where she continues to engage audiences with her raw, unfiltered opinions.
