Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza’s stepdaughter Riziki Kawira Murega is appealing for financial help from Kenyans.
Murega shared a video on Sunday, October 29, indicating that she needed Ksh150,000 to clear her school fees.
The Muranga University of Technology student stated that she was worried she would not be able to sit for her final exams if the fee is not cleared on time.
“Following my parents’ separation, I have been raised by my mother and I am the first born of three.
“I am 22 years old and studying at Muranga University. I am pursuing Bachelor of Education Arts, a combination of Kiswahili and CRE,” she stated.
Additionally, she revealed that she was the daughter of Sabina Karemi and Meru’s First Gentleman Roberto Murega.

Riziki Kawira on Reaching Her Father
According to the student, she had not been able to reach her father despite several attempts. Also, she noted that she had not spoken to her father in eight years, adding that he did not support her in any way.
Moreover, because of the lack of support, her mother was unable to pay her fees consistently as she was taking care of her younger siblings in high school.
She added that the little money they got also went to caring for their basic needs.
“I am here to request you to help me raise my university school fees so that I can be able to complete my education.
“Following the financial constraint at home, I have not been able to pay my school fees and because of the increase of university fees, things have not been easy,” she pleaded.

Mwangaza Second Impeachment
The news came as the Meru governor battled a second impeachment after Meru Members of County Assembly (MCAs) unanimously voted to impeach her again.
Notably, the MCAs went ahead with the proceedings after the Court of Appeal declined to stop the assembly from proceeding with the impeachment motion on October 25.
Moreover, the governor faced 7 counts including misuse of public resources, nepotism, bullying and contempt of court.
She was accused of giving county jobs to her relatives including her husband who the MCAs claimed was on the county pay roll.
