Kioni Kinya also sent an email stating, “We appreciate your upcoming visit to our country to help foster our longstanding relationship, but your timing is not right.”
Kelvin Mugera wrote, “I hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. As a concerned Kenyan citizen, I feel compelled to address an issue of grave importance regarding your planned visit to Kenya.
“While we greatly value international diplomacy and collaboration, I must urgently advise against this visit due to the alarming and escalating cases of abductions, enforced disappearances, and extrajudicial killings targeting Kenyan youth.”
Meanwhile, a user named Designer Wanyoike asserted, “It saddens us that the great Netherlands would want to praise this government by honoring President Ruto’s invite.
“We humbly beg you to reconsider, cancel the visit, and call out the oppressive regime hurting Kenyans. Your visit not only praises the government to continue torturing Kenyans but also creates a divide between the nations of The Netherlands and Kenya.”
