Appearing on TV on Thursday, September 21, Khalwale noted that Kuria was being sarcastic and insincere with his apology.
“I have never read about where he went to school but assuming that he went to a good school like some of us then he was writing in English and every tone of that particular tweet is nothing but sarcasm. There was no apology there,” Khalwale said on Citizen TV.
“I don’t know who he was apologizing to, if it includes me then until I read an apology from him is when I will make a decision whether to accept it or not.”
Khalwale further insisted on Kuria’s apology being hollow.
In what seemed to be a veiled threat on CS Kuria, the vocal UDA senator said that Kuria owes Kenyans and those who put him into power.

The legislator affirmed that he will not relent in calling out leaders sleeping on their jobs and hold them accountable for their actions.
His remarks came after public uproar over the fuel price hikes with Kuria telling Kenyans to brace themselves for fuel hikes every month going forward.
