Konza is steadily positioning itself as a major economic hub, with the establishment of an Export Processing Zone expected to attract investors, boost manufacturing and create employment opportunities for young people.
Among the investors making their mark is Lucky DJX, which has established an industrial park within the zone to accommodate several export-oriented manufacturing facilities. The initial focus will be on textiles, electronics, solar equipment and related accessories.
As plans advance to launch the first factories, including electronics and glass manufacturing facilities, the initial phase is expected to create jobs.
Recognising the potential of a single factory to transform livelihoods, Konza is seeking to attract more manufacturing companies to the Technopolis.
Expanding industrial operations remains a key strategy for generating direct employment for young people, complemented by early engagement with content creators to promote opportunities within the growing economic zone.
