Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party leader and South African opposition chief Julius Malema has criticized Kenyan President William Ruto for failing to deliver his promises.
Speaking on Thursday, November 9, in Kenya, Malema said he has not understood Ruto ever since he took over the country’s leadership in September 2022.
“I don’t know if President William Ruto means it because he said so many things and I can’t locate these days because the things he said during elections and the things he is doing now are two different things,” said Malema.
Additionally, the EFF boss accused President of not being honest with his fight against dollar and creation of one African currency.
“I heard him saying that we need to do away with the dollar and build our own currency, but his actions are speaking to anything of eradicating the US dollar,” he explained.
British Monarch are Murderers – Malema
Further, Malema slammed President Ruto for welcoming British Monarch King Charles II and Queen Camilla to Kenya.
“His latest action being putting a red carpet for a murderer, a person who killed the Kenyan people coming into this country, receiving a red carpet and being saluted by our own army,” he said.
In addition, the EFF boss explained that the Kenyan army is a product of the Mau Mau rebellion and should not salute the same people who killed their forefathers during the fight for independence.

“We have a duty to stay true to the course, we must also remind the King of Britain of what they did to us,” he said.

“He will never say he is sorry because he thinks race makes him superior and he is not qualified to apologize to those who are junior to him,” he said.

Advice to Ruto

Furthermore, he asked the President to decide on whether he wants to be Pan Africanist or a proponent of neocolonialism adding he can’t achieve both.
“I don’t know if you’ll regret inviting me after this, but my problem is that I tell my truth as is, and I say it to authorities without fear or favor,” said Malema.
Malema was speaking at the launch of the Pan African Institute in Lukenya University, Kenya.
Surprisingly, Malema’s coincided with President Ruto’s state of the nation address.
In his address to Parliament, President outlined his achievements since assuming office 14 months ago and the plans he has for the nation.
