Masshouse, a popular entertainment joint in the Ngong Racecourse area, Nairobi, has addressed reports of a fatal incident that allegedly took place on its premises.
Initial reports indicated that a Strathmore University student tragically died following a violent altercation at the nightspot.

Through its official platforms, the establishment responded to online outrage to reassure the public.
Although the statement did not disclose specific details of the incident or victim, Masshouse acknowledged that a reveller died at the establishment sometime between Friday, February 14 and Saturday, February 15.

Additionally, the entertainment joint indicated that it was cooperating with relevant authorities as investigations into the matter continued.
“Between the late hours of Friday the 14th of February and the early hours of Saturday the 15th of February 2025, an incident occurred within the Masshouse premise and as such we extend our sympathies to the victim’s loved ones.

“Despite us being unable to share any detailed information regarding the incident, we at Masshouse are cooperating fully with the relevant authorities in their ongoing investigation in order to understand the circumstances surrounding this incident,” stated the joint.

Masshouse Defends Safety of the Establishment
At the same time, Masshouse defended its commitment to transparency, stating that it will provide updates as appropriate in accordance with the progress of the investigation.
The management has also asked for patience from customers.
“Masshouse is firmly dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our clients remains a top priority. We ask for your patience and understanding at this time,” added the management.
Masshouse is a popular entertainment joint known for hosting live concerts popular among the youth.
After Valentine’s celebrations on February 14, the joint was put on the spot after an X user named ross_corleone alleged that his brother had died at the establishment.
“Good morning Kenyans, please assist me, I lost my brother on Sunday at Mass House. The police report said the joint found a young man collapsed on the stairs, but the autopsy yesterday shows he was killed,” he stated.
In solidarity, Kenyans joined in and demanded accountability from the entertainment joint. The incident was reported at Karen Police Station under OB Number 9/15/2/2025.

Reactions After the Statement
Some Kenyans are still demanding that the release the CCTV footage of the fateful night by management of Masshouse.
Additionally, media personality Adelle Onyango called out the joint questioning whether investigating parties have been compromised.
“A pickpocketed phone is an incident; someone dying is not an incident. Sending my condolences to the family.
“I hope there’s a spokesperson for the family to provide updates in case the investigating parties get compromised. Also, is there no video surveillance?” she questioned.
