Family members of Collins Jumaisi Khalusha, the main suspect in the Kware killings have revealed that they last saw him in 2022.
According to Khalusha’s mother, Margaret Rose Jumaisi, after her son completed his primary education, she could not afford money to admit him to high school, forcing her to take him to Uganda where he spent 3 years in school.
Further, she said her last-born son dropped out of school in Form 3 and alleged to have travelled to Nairobi.
The mother narrated that her son bought a parcel of land in 2016 and built a house but left it in her care.
Collins’ sister said she stayed with him in Busia County from when he joined standard 7 and admitted him to a school in Uganda to further his studies after he cleared his KCPE.
“He received a calling letter, but I did not have money to take him there, so I took him to Uganda where he studied for three years. I came back to Busia, and I returned to Uganda, I did not find him,” the sister noted.
Further, she said their father died in 1995, whereby upon his death the mother and other three siblings moved to Migori County.
In addition, the sister revealed that Collins, who had a name change in his childhood, settled in Nairobi with his friend.

Collins Confesses in Kware Murders
Consequently, on July 15, the Director of the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Amin Mohammed claimed that the main suspect in the Kware dumpsite killings in Mukuru kwa Njenga had confessed to killing his wife.
Amin noted that the 33-year-old, confessed to being a serial killer and identified his wife as his first victim.
Additionally, the officers said that they discovered items from his house that could have been used in the murders.

When he was arrested, the suspect is claimed to have taken DCI officers to his single room house in Kware area, located about 100 meters from the crime scene.
“The suspect Confesses that First Victim was His Wife. Upon the arrest of the suspect, he led out officers to his single room, rental in Kware located about 100 meters from the dam where the dismembered bodies were discovered,” said Amin.
