Nairobi Hospital Responds to a Fake Letter on Job Recruitment

Nairobi Hospital has warned the public over scammers out to defraud Kenyans with fake employment opportunities.

In a statement on February 10, 2024, the hospital disowned the job advertisement making rounds on social media.

“We hereby inform the general public and all our stakeholders that there is fake job advertisement doing rounds on various digital platforms. It is purporting to be from The Nairobi Hospital,” the statement read in part.

In addition, the management disqualified the letter stating that it came from people who they termed as unscrupulous.

Furthermore, the hospital advised the public to report cases of calls from the scammers to the nearest police stations or get in touch with the hospital management.

“Should any of them contact you, please report the matter to the nearest police station or get in touch with us on +254 703 082000 or email: hosp@nbihosp.org,” the statement added.

At the same time The Nairobi Hospital clarified on the platforms they use to announce vacancies.

They include the Nairobi Hospital website, https://thenairobihosp.org, Facebook page, The Nairobi Hospital and on X @thenairobihosp.

Finally, the administration indicated that they also use Print media for their official job advertisement.

In the statement, they also affirmed that all application processes for all job opportunities offered by Nairobi Hospital are free of charge.

According to the fake advert, the hospital was seeking to recruit; health record officer, critical care nurse and a laboratory theologist.

Other opportunities included a peri-operative theater technician, assistant procurement officer, data entry clerk and account assistant.
