The Ministry of East African Community (EAC) and Regional Development has announced the sale of used motor vehicles by public auction.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, September 24, the Ministry announced that viewing of the vehicles will take place from Wednesday, September 25, to Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
“The Kenya Government through the Ministry of East African Community and Regional Development, State Department of ASALs and Regional Development Invites the interested bidder to purchase boarded stores and motor vehicles through public auction which is scheduled to appear in star newspaper MyGov on Tuesday, 24th September,” read part of the notice.
The Ministry further outlined the dates, venues, and descriptions of the auctions.
Motor vehicles can be viewed at the Ministry of Public Works’ Mechanical Department in the Industrial Area.
General stores can be viewed at Hazina Trade Centre Building, located along Moktar Daddah Street on the 3rd floor, south wing.

How to Buy the EAC Ministry Vehicles
The auction is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Ministry of Public Works’ Mechanical Department.
According to the Ministry, the sale is subject to reserved prices for both motor vehicles and general stores and are sold on as-is where- is- basis.
Other conditions for the sale are contained in the catalogue which can be accessed from the state department’s website www.asalrd.go.ke free of charges.
Furthermore, it can be accessed at the public procurement information portal (PPIP) www.tenders.go.ke.
Kenya Power Announces Sale of Furnitures
At the same time, the Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC) has invited bidders to submit sealed bids for disposal of furniture.
Items will be sold as they are, without any encumbrances.
Interested tenderers are invited to inspect the goods to be sold during office hours from 0900 to 1500 hours at the address as provided in the tender document.
Tender documents detailing the requirements may be obtained from the KPLC E-Procurement Portal.

Tenderers will be required to pay in advance a refundable deposit as indicated in the appendix.
Completed tenders are to be submitted in electronic format on the KPLC’s E-Procurement portal on the date and time published on the portal.
The tender is to be submitted online on or before Tuesday, October 8.
Prices quoted should be net, must be in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for Two Hundred and ten (210) days from the closing date of the tender.
