Nyali Member of Parliament (MP) Mohammed Ali popularly known as Moha Jicho Pevu has launched a fresh push against Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that are supporting the LGBTQ+ community in Kenya.
According to Moha, these organizations are forcing the habit on Kenyans through campaigns.
Appearing before the National Assembly Petitions Committee on Tuesday, September 25, he explained his petition regarding the alleged proliferation of LGBTQ relationships in the country.
In his petition, Mohammed Ali claims that these NGOs are getting foreign funding and are pretending to help the Kenyan society.
“When foreign funding comes in, they won’t tell you directly what they want to do, they will use other channels.
“When members of the LGBTQ come and say that they have been sidelined and ignored, have you ever gone to a supermarket in Kenya that has onside for LGTQ and another for ordinary people?” questioned the MP.

Additionally, the MP said his Petition has the backing of diverse religious organizations, as same sex marriages are forbidden in most Kenyan religious practices and culture.
Also, he warned that the culture, if allowed to spread, threatens not only the cultural future of the country, its youthful population and the institution of marriage.
“Both the Bible and Quran is against this. So, when you see religious leaders on the front line, they are trying to protect what God has warned us not to do,” he said.
Moha also noted that lawyers supporting LGBTQ had sued him in court in an attempt to stop his campaign against same sex relationships.
“I was taken to court by a lawyer representing LGTQ saying that what I said was a threat to their life and they can no longer go outside because they will be killed.
“All I said is that the bible and the Quran says that whoever does what they do should be killed,” he added.

Moha and Boniface Mwangi Lock Horns
In December 2023, the MP lashed out at activist Boniface Mwangi for discrediting his fight.
Mwangi began the conversation by accusing the MP of holding protests against members of the LGBTQ community instead of addressing concerns about youth in Mombasa who were dying because of drug abuse.
In addition, the activist claimed that he had proof that Mohammed Ali was actually a member of the LGBTQ community but was still fighting against them.
In response, the MP accused Mwangi of being compromised by LGBTQ donors hence the reason he defended them.
“Have you been sent by LGBTQ donors? Stay away from the kind of money that comes with curses,” he stated.
