Pacis Insurance Company has appointed Sylvester Nzioka as its new Managing Director, effective 13 February 2026.
In a statement on February 17, the company confirmed that the appointment follows a structured leadership transition approved by the Board.
The appointment comes after the exit of former Managing Director Jean Moegi, who had led the company since 2020.

According to the notice, Nzioka brings nearly two decades of experience in operations, strategy, and transformation within the insurance industry.
Pacis stated that Nzioka will focus on strengthening operational efficiency, advancing digital systems already in place, and improving customer processes.
His role will also involve supporting internal teams responsible for service delivery, business development, and technical operations.
“As Managing Director, Nzioka will focus on strengthening operational efficiency, advancing digital innovation, deepening customer-centricity, and leveraging Pacis’ unique positioning within the Catholic ecosystem to deliver meaningful impact and long-term value for stakeholders,” read part of the statement by Pacis.
The Board said his background in digital innovation, corporate restructuring, and customer experience improvement made him well suited for the company’s next phase.

His arrival comes at a time when Pacis is seeking to strengthen its market position within the Catholic institutions, organisations, and communities and widen its footprint in Kenya’s competitive insurance industry.
Sylvester Nzioka Background
Sylvester Nzioka has spent his career in the insurance sector, rising through technical, operational, and strategic roles across Kenya and the wider region.
His most recent position before joining Pacis Insurance was Chief Operating Officer and Principal Officer at Jubilee Allianz General Insurance Kenya, where he oversaw daily operations, regulatory functions, and internal coordination between 2024 and 2025.
He previously worked in Uganda as the Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer at Jubilee Allianz Uganda from 2022 to 2023, guiding strategic projects and organisational reforms.
Nzioka served as Transformation Lead for Anglophone Africa at Allianz Africa, supporting the integration of regional insurance entities following acquisitions from 2019 to 2022.
Before rising to senior regional roles, Nzioka worked in distribution management at Allianz Kenya, held a management post at Chase Insurance Agencies, led the life insurance unit at Chase Assurance, and earlier served in underwriting and pension administration at UAP Insurance, UAP Life, and Eagle Africa Brokers.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Actuarial Science from Kenyatta University and a Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Marketing and Strategic Management at Kenyatta University.
