Nairobi Member of Parliament (MP) Esther Passaris has offered 60 people Ksh60,000 for celebrating Kenya’s 60th Independence Day.
In a statement, Passaris stated that she was determined to shift the dialogue towards positivity during the Jamhuri holiday.
She asked those interested in the cash reward to share a message of positivity expressing their pride for Kenya.
Further, she stated that the reward would be given to the first 60 individuals whose message will move her.
“Let’s shift the dialogue towards positivity, envisioning a Kenya brimming with abundance, opportunities, and peace. Complaining won’t fill our plates or pave the way for progress.
“Instead, let’s speak blessings over our land, let’s visualize a prosperous Kenya, and let’s back it with prayers and hard work. I’m giving away 60,000 shillings to the first 60 people who tell me what they love about Kenya,” she announced.

She highlighted free education, economics, devolution and peaceful political coexistence as some of the strides Kenya had made.
