Kondele Police Station in Kisumu through Ikimwanya Auctioneers has asked owners of vehicles, motorcycles and vehicle parts to collect them from the station within 30 days.
According to the notice published in the February 9, gazette notice, when the 30 days period elapses, the auctioneers will sell all the property at the premises.

The total number of motorcycles and vehicles at the station is 31. The owners were also notified that they will not be able to contest the auction.
“The owners/custodians of the following property lying at Kondele Police Station are informed to collect them within thirty (30) days from the date of this publication and pay the cost of this publication of this notice. Failure to which Ikimwanya Auctioneers are authorized to sell them through public auction without any other notice nor reference to the owner,” the notice read in part.

At the same time, the vehicles listed also include three bicycles, a scraps-Nissan body white in colour, a burnt Toyota Fielder, a burnt Peugeot among others.

Other Police Stations Issue Action Notice
At the same time, Kwale Police Station announced that it would be auctioning 10 vehicles and motorcycles that remained uncollected at its premises.
Additionally, the police station noted that it would surrender the vehicles to Aztec Auctioneers if the property remained uncollected after 30 days.
“The Chief Magistrate’s Court at Kwale, to the owners of motorcycles and scrap metal which are lying idle and unclaimed within Kwale Police Station yard, to collect the said motorcycles and scrap metal at the said yard within thirty (30) days from the date of this
publication of this notice.
“Failure to which Aztec Auctioneers, Nairobi shall proceed to dispose of the said motorcycles and scrap by way of public auction on behalf of Kwale Police Station if they remain uncollected or unclaimed,” the notice read in part.
Kiambu Police Station also issued a similar notice for owners of 19 motor vehicles and motorcycles.
Additionally, the Kiambu police station indicated that there were also assorted metals that remained unclaimed at its premises.

Ksh 100K Vehicles Put on Auction
On February 7, Mogo Automotive Limited in Nairobi announced the sale of vehicles, with prices starting as low as Ksh 100,000.
Vehicles up for sale included the Toyota Probox (2005) which went for as low as Ksh100,000, the Toyota Gaia at Ksh200,000, the Subaru Impreza at Ksh30,000(1996), the Toyota Corolla at Ksh260,000, and Toyota Succeed at Ksh380,000.
In addition, other vehicles up for auction included Toyota Hilux, Toyota Voxy and Nissan Vanette which were set to auction at Ksh370,000.
Also, the company noted that it would be auctioning a Honda Fit, Toyota Succeed, and Toyota Spade at Ksh400,000, Ksh410,000 and Ksh470,000 respectively.
“Interested bidders can submit their offers via email to cars.sales@mogo.co.ke. It is mandatory for bidders to include their mobile phone numbers in the email for communication purposes,” the company stated.
