Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that he is ready for a nuclear war should the United States (US) deploy troops to Ukraine as the war between the two European nations continue.
In an interview with Dmitry Kiselev, Putin said the nuclear war scenario was not “rushing” up and he saw no need for the use of nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
“From a military-technical point of view, Russia is ready for a nuclear war, but it is unlikely that ‘everything is rushing so head-on” he said.
He added that the US troops on Russian territory or even Ukraine’s territory are “interventionists.”
“In the United States, they announced that they were not going to send in troops. We know what American troops on Russian territory are, they are interventionists. We will treat it this way, even if they appear on the territory of Ukraine,” Putin said in the interview.
He warned that Russia is ready to defend itself if the US starts using the nuclear weapons.
Russian Nuclear is Advanced than that of US-Putin
Putin explained that the British and American missiles cause damage to Russia, but do not change the situation on the battlefield.
“We have our own principles. What they are talking about is that we are ready to use weapons, including any weapons, including the ones you mentioned, if we are talking about the existence of the Russian state, harming our sovereignty and independence. We have everything written down in our strategy; we haven’t changed it,” he said.
Putin added that Russia’s nuclear triad of land, sea and air threats was ‘much more’ advanced and modern than those praised by US.

“We will not have a red line against those who do not have a red line against us. Just as the weapons they send do not change the course, sending soldiers will not change the course,” Putin said.
He further stressed that it is a matter of life and death for Russia and accused the US of using it to improve their tactical position in the world and in Europe.
“For us, this is a matter of life and death, but for them, it is a matter of improving their tactical position in general in the world and in Europe in particular, maintaining their status, their status among their allies. This is also important, but not as much as it is for us,” he said.

Russia is ready to negotiate with Ukraine
Putin also said Russia is ready for negotiations on Ukraine with condition that they must be based on reality.
“About the ‘honest agreement’ with the West: “I don’t trust anyone, but we need guarantees, and the guarantees must be spelled out, they must be ones that would suit us,” he said.
He maintained that the negotiations are not a pause for the rearmament of Kyiv, but a serious conversation with security guarantees for Russia.
Putin was speaking just days before a March 15-17 election which is certain to give him another six years in power.
