Ruto Meets Parliamentary Leadership As Process To Handle Issues Raised by Azimio

President William Ruto on Monday, April 3 met with a section of parliamentary leaders to establish a framework on the bipartisan parliamentary process to discuss the issues raised by the opposition which prompted weekly demonstrations.

Ruto came up with the proposal on Sunday when he addressed the nation, asking Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance coalition to call off the demos.

“My suggestion is that this matter can be handled by Parliament so that we can agree on what the issue is and we can adjust as agreed and as necessary,” Ruto said.

In a statement on Monday, President Ruto stated that he has urged the leaders to consider the proposal and address the matter effectively.
