President-elect William Ruto has pledged to maintain respect for the outgoing president Uhuru Kenyatta notwithstanding their different political views.
While speaking on Sunday, August 22 at a thanksgiving service at Gathiru-ini PCEA church, Kiambu county, the president-elect stated that his government will revive the stalled projects that failed under the previous government.
He further thanked President Kenyatta for his contribution towards the growth of the country.
“We thank the president, Uhuru Kenyatta for his contribution to where the nation has reached up to now. And I want to assure him that he will have his respect as our leader so that we can reserve the nation’s respect and to ensure that all Kenyans unite moving forward,” Ruto said.
“All that we did together shall be used as a foundation to see the nation moving forward and we shall correct what was done wrongly and all projects that are not complete we will start there even as we fashion the new projects we intend to bring into the country.” He added.
