The Executive Office of the President (State House) has invited interested and qualified tenderers to bid for the supply and delivery of newspapers, periodicals and journals.
In an advert on May 6, the State House said no bid security is required and only firms registered under the Access to Government Procurement Opportunities (AGPO) program can apply.
The deadline for submitting bids will be on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Interested firms may obtain further information from the office of the Head – Supply Chain Management Services.

A complete set of the Tender documents may be downloaded by eligible bidders from the State House website www.president.go.ke, or https://supplier.treasury.go.ke and www.tenders, free of charge.
Bidders who download the tender documents must forward their company’s particulars to [email protected] for recording and further addendum /clarifications if any.
Afterwards, interested bidders should submit original and a copy of the completed tender document with the tender number clearly indicated to the State House Comptroller.
“Complete Tender Documents, both “Original” and “Copy”, enclosed in plain sealed envelope, marked with the Tender Number and description should be deposited at the Tender Box located at Gate D and Addressed to: The Comptroller of State House P. O. Box 40530-00100 NAIROBI so as to be received not later than Friday, 23 May 2025 at 11.00 a.m. East African Time. Late applications will not be accepted,” directed the Comptroller.

Ruto’s Office Budget Allocation Increased
This comes after the National Treasury released budget estimates allocating Ksh2.3 billion to President William Ruto’s office and the State House.
Treasury increased the development budget in Ruto’s offices from Ksh50 million in the 2024/25 financial year to Ksh1.46 billion in 2025/26.
This comprises maintenance works at Harambee House, refurbishment of the Government Press and allocation to the National Fund for the Disabled.

State House Budget Estimates
The Treasury allocated Ksh894.9 million for rehabilitation works and running State House Nairobi, and the other State House lodges.
This includes Ksh680.7 million for general maintenance works at State House Nairobi.
Others are Eldoret State Lodge (Ksh60.1 million), State House Sagana (Ksh15 million), Mombasa State House (Ksh42.5 million) and Nakuru State House (Ksh25 million).
Ruto also seeks to rehabilitate Kisumu State Lodge (Ksh24 million), Kakamega State Lodge (Ksh25 million), Kisii State Lodge (Ksh12.5 million) and the Mechanical Garage (Ksh10 million).
