Iran’s Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has dared Trump to go to war and be ready for the outcome.
In a statement made on February 15, the general expressed his dissatisfaction with Trump’s contradictions in the attempt to negotiate for peace while planning war.
“President Trump should understand that any war with us would be a harsh lesson and would put an end to his global displays of hostility,” Abdolrahim stated during a ceremony.
Starting a war in Iran will have a great impact on Trump globally. “If President Trump intends to go to war, why talk about negotiations?” Abdolrahim asked, questioning the contradictory signals coming from Washington.
Public and Online Reactions
Ongoing tension has led to differences in people’s opinions. Some have openly supported Trump’s action, while others condemn it.
Others have criticized both countries, citing that damage will occur to both countries. Some users responded with mockery, questioning Iran’s capabilities.
“The ground reality is that any real conflict would be devastating for both; Iran’s economy is already drowning under sanctions, and the U.S has zero appetite for another Middle East quagmire after Afghanistan and Iraq,” Sunil Sanjan commented.
