Kisumu High court judge has sentenced two convicts to Prison for life imprisonment for killing their boss George Anyango in 2018 at his boss’s farm in Muhoroni.
Until his death in 2018, George Anyango alias Bengo was the manager at retired Justice Effie Owuor’s Muhoroni farm.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations in a statement revealed the events that led to the gruesome murder of George by his workers at his farm in Muhoroni.
“Kisumu High Court has sentenced to life imprisonment two suspects in the 2018 heinous murder of George Anyango alias Bengo, who was until his death the manager at retired Justice Effie Owuor’s Muhoroni farm,” said DCI.
Likewise, the DCI confirming the men’s identities noted that the two men while attacking Goerge also attacked his boss’ son Paul Owuor leaving him with severe injuries.

“Isaac Kiptoo Rono aka Malakwen and Julius Mengich Kipyegon were accused of the cold-blooded murder, in an incident where the Judge’s son Paul Owuor was also attacked and left for dead but narrowly survived,” said DCI.
The DCI further confirmed that efforts of security forces in Kisumu and Nandi counties, they were able to hunt down the suspects.
“In the November 17, 2018 attack, the suspects who were armed with machetes ambushed and attacked George at his boss’s farm, inflicting multiple injuries on him before slitting his throat,” said DCI.
Moreover, according to DCI, Paul Owuor, a licensed firearm holder had accompanied George to the farm, fired in the air to repulse the attackers, but his firearm developed a stoppage and was equally attacked.

Similarly, in a separate charge of attempted murder implicating the two suspects, Paul testified how a deep cut on his belly threatened to spill his intestines but used his shirt to hold them as he yelled for help.
According to Paul while testifying before the courts, a tractor driver rushed him to hospital where his life was saved.
