Vice Chancellor Replaced
On August 2, the UoN Council suspended its Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Stephen Kiama installing Prof. Margret Hutchinson as the acting VC.
Students at the University welcomed the decision saying that the move by the council was long overdue, adding that Kiama did not care about the students’ welfare.
Additionally, they asked that the new VC addresses some burning matters, including hiked accommodation fee, and the deplorable condition of the hostels.
Additionally, they demanded that their requests are actualized before the resumption of the following semester in September 2024.
